Background

Mrs. Clarrissa Hickman or Miss Chrrissy was born and raised in Dayton Ohio. Miss Chrrissy is the youngest of two biological children but one of many foster children. Currently living in Starkville Mississippi she has been a resident of Mississippi since 2010. She is the proud Mother of Ari Elizabeth and CarliRose.

Since residing here in Mississippi Miss Chrrissy has been a licensed foster parent, obtained a Directors Credentials, completed 120 hours for a Child Development Associate (CDA), served in the Mississippi Army National Guard and opened her own Family Childcare in 2015 known as “Kingdom Kidz”.

Miss Chrrissy has always felt children would be a part of her career field, she has tried many other avenues but God always has a way of bringing her back to her calling. Growing up Miss Chrrissy’s mother was a Special Needs Teacher for 35yrs in the Public School system, she also owned and operated a Childcare for over 25 years. Her parents William and Doris Moore have pastored for over 30 yrs. So I guess it’s safe to say that she was meant to be a Teacher. Miss Chrrissy’s goal is to become a 5 Star quality rated, fully licensed and Nationally Accredited Family Childcare through the NAFCC National Association for Family Child Care. Her plan is to continue education by finishing her Degree and pursuing her Masters in the field of education. Her short term goal is to finish certification in Montessori education while maintaining interest by attending educational childcare workshops, conferences, and conventions. Miss Chrrissy loves working in this field and will always advocate for Family Childcare and Early Childhood until it is viewed as one of the most important and much needed professions in the United States.

Kingdom Kidz FCC has been serving the Starkville Community since 2015. We have enjoyed being able to be a beacon of light to so many wonderful families. It is our endeavor that we

To help Family Childcare become recognized as a profession and to meet the needs of all children. Kingdom Kidz FCP desires is to one day offer quality childcare around the clock.

Philosophy

I believe that all children are born ready to learn but it is up to us to cultivate their love for learning. I feel that it is important to provide a safe and nurturing environment, which promotes health, and physical, social-emotional, language and communication and cognitive development. As an early childhood educator, I am responsible for providing the infants, toddlers and young children in my care with these positive learning experiences.
